The rest goes to the Foundation for the Excellence Fund.

Season ticket sales dropped by 6,600 with a ticket price of $135, that's a drop of $891,000 ($162,000 per game; I used 5.5 games as we only have 5 this year versus 6 in previous years). Still not a good sign for this program as our program was one of the best G5 progrmas at generating ticket sales revenue. I'd say we have a generous amount of walkup sales. If season ticket sales are only 7,100, then we had around 11,000 gameday sales on September 2 (attendance was around 18,000).

The $500k didn't appear at of thin air, but was overstated by the OP to further drive home his point. My thing is, I'd like to see a more accurate number.
Fair enough. Again, I wasn't given specific item line numbers.
Even using your numbers, we end up somewhere between 330k and 380k.
Times 5 this year but usually 6 games per year..

It's still $1.75 Mil to $2.1 Mil in potential losses. For this program, that's awfully concerning.

ALSO, I'm not piling on to anything. I'm simply stating facts, and discussing chatter amongst football players and people close to our subject matter. I know you hate inconvenient truths, but there is no need to get snappy with me, puddin'.
Some of us are credulous, some are incredulous.

I'm struggling to comprehend the big deal here in this current situation and reading about past failings isn't clearing it up for me.

You're struggling to understand how a kid being run off for not playing injured is a big deal?

    This is starting to stink.

I'm struggling to believe that angle.

    He did play.

    Did he take himself out.

Players want to test the extent of their recovery all the time.

No two individuals can be handled the same way.

Players quit for not being allowed on the field.

Players quit for being urged onto the field.

I'm struggling to grasp this story.

The "reason" given was he was upset about playing time. The official stance of the staff is "he wanted to play and we wound't allow him to play, so he quit."

That doesn't jive at all with you theory. Unless you want to move around things to make it jive.

Huds been on record saying we need this guy. He started game 1. He was injured and allegedly told at halftime that he either plays through injury or he won't see the field again. He plays a little bit (a few drives?) in the second half.

And then he transfers because of playing time?...

After game #2 of a 12 game season....

Not trying to stir the pot or take sides, but one thing I don't understand. If he was hurt, why was he dressed out for game? Did he dress at halftime because of ultimatum?

    GEAUX CAJUNS!!!

I'm not countering anything you said, just trying to understand.

Sometimes there is a fear of getting back on the horse.

I don't believe that anyone on this board really knows 100% the reason(s) behind why Holmes left the program. Not sure which theory I would believe more either.

I do believe that if you take a poll, much more than 50% would play injured in a heartbeat without being pushed onto the field from a coach. That is what athletes do. They want to play and they want to compete.

Regardless, the kid left. We need LBs. Hell, we need a defense. My support for Hud has gone more because of his actions, or lack there of, around locker room and off the field incidents.

ok, MAT, you are telling us that you know for sure that this player was diagnosed as injured and advised not to play by a medical Doctor or trainer? Or did he refuse to play after being cleared by Doctors and or trainers.

    Which was it?

Are you also saying that you know for sure that he was then told by a coach or coaches to play or else he's off the team?
