Get your fair weather asses to the field on Saturday. This is a process.
I really like his demeanor on the sidelines. Always in a coaching/teaching mode. Will pay dividends!

THIS THIS THIS - well put I hope "they" get this message!
Re: Is this really the guy?
Naps is THE MAN to lead us. Don't forget we just came off probation and had a coaching change. To fully expect a huge turn around with only a partial recruiting season under his belt is ridiculous. Our football team did not quit and I saw plenty of encouraging things . It should not be shocking that we cant hang with Moo st or bama yet .

Except nobody is putting nails in his coffin.
Re: Is this really the guy?
Can we at least get through this season before we start looking for a new coach? If I remember correctly, "most" Cajun fans were predicting a 5-7, 6-6 or 7-5 season before we played game #1. I doubt anyone had a win over Miss. St. and Alabama included in their prediction.
Although I was disappointed in the score of the game Saturday, I was encouraged by what I saw. I think Napier is pushing all of the right buttons and once he gets a little more talent in place, we will be proud of our program once again.
I will go out on a limb and predict that the Cajuns give Alabama a better game than Ole Miss did!

Nobody is calling for a coaching change. Again, overreaction is paramount on this site. However, for all those people predicting 6 win seasons, there were also a lot of people predicting 8+ wins as well and some claiming he will be a "legend" here. The point is that we should all give him and staff time before we react either way. The cold reality is that even with a hopefully upgraded staff, we are still woefully undermanned on defense and will likely see our fair amount of struggles this year.

Didn’t our outmanned defense put Moo State in 3rd and long many times only to fall short? I’m thinking we’re going to continue to improve this year. Still expecting a bowl

No way am I jumping of the ship because of this loss. But I'm sorry, we didn't compete very well period, not even for one quarter. That is discouraging regardless of what kind of season I or anyone else thought we could have this season. Again, we didn't play discipline football and we didn't execute.
Now the 24 hour rule is in effect and we need to focus on Coastal Carolina. It's a winnable game, but there needs to be a large jump in improvement on both sides of the football.
