Outside the Top 10 Football programs in the country, the rest are losing money for the most part without student fees or conference tv revenue share.

Man, we are getting way off base. But, to add on football and basketball also bring in more revenue from everything from donations to ticket sales to revenue sharing.

If anything the season sacrificed for last year was 2 years ago, when he chose to have 3 scholarships sitting on the bench as transfers. You live by Transfers you die by transfers much like football building a team with jucos has it's repercussions.
The ugly side of it is that we burned 3 scholarships and 3 years of development of for 1 year of success.

That can't happen now since he has a signed contract.

Yes, I know........NCAA tournament $$$, eyeballs around the nation for basketball versus softball, yada yada yada......that's just how I feel.
I don't think you need to take money from any sport to help softball. Their core supporters can make up what is needed to take the next step. Appears that is happening.
