Yes, but they exist already in the conference. We want in and all of those programs have had some success in MBB in the past. We must add more than football, although it is the driving force.

Looked up USF, and their basketball budget last year was $3.85M with the coaches salaries being $1.85M. Their head coach salary/benefit package was $937,500 for 2017-2018. Their overall athletic budges was about $40M.

Usf budget is 50 mill so they spends 7.5% of their athletic budget on basketball we spent close to 8.2 I would like to see ours around 5%

Now do UCF their coach base salary is less than Marlins and they have a budget of almost 60 mill

We will be really close to a $35M budget this year. We have continued to grow our athletic budget at a very significant rate. You will see when the numbers come out this tear.

Matching Lanny's numbers with yours, we already spend almost as much as as USF on basketball. Something must be way off somewhere.

Just throwing this out there, but I would say that if spending a few more bucks on softball would be what it would take to have the crowds in place to help the girls get to the WCWS, I'd gladly take that money from the basketball program.

Yes, I know........NCAA tournament $$$, eyeballs around the nation for basketball versus softball, yada yada yada......that's just how I feel.
