I think we all knew that the Tigue was a dump of a ball park. The press box was a joke. The restrooms was a place to get rid of the excess beverages and not for rest. Concession was a joke also. They got rid of the only thing I enjoyed, fried fish, shrimp and fried potatoes. But once the game started and the atmosphere kicked in all those negatives really didn't mattered........

Completely agree. We will finally have facilities fitting of the atmosphere. Look at it this way. A nice new shiny facility didn't hurt the atmosphere for softball. It only added to the experience.

Frenchie I'm hoping the food jumps up another level as well. If I understand correctly they will have access to full kitchens so food can be prepared on site. I know Tony is all for making the food fit our culture and uniqueness.

Haha well shat, y'all pointed out all the things I conveniently pushed out of memory. My vermillion colored glasses are more like contacts, they don't come off till I go to sleep.

Look nobody is more excited about this amazing new stadium than me, I just hate negative comments about my beloved Tigue. Lol

Since I never went to a baseball game, I feel I have an unbiased opinion with my view being untainted by game day experience. Tigue Moore was built a little after Cajun Field. I would think both facilities had the same upkeep. While the game day experience at cajun field is nice, the stadium is a dump. Up until a few years ago there were still ____ troughs in the mens restrooms. I would hate to think what the womens restrooms were like. I would think similar issues existed at Tigue Moore. I will rely on what Canun90 said about the rest, as it appears he has first hand experience.

I have been involved in construction of both new and renovated facilities. I hate to tell you, but the old Tigue was pretty bad. Almost the worst i have seen.

That being said I am very happy for Coach Robe, the assistants and for the players. Nobody deserves it more than coach Robe. We are fortunate to have him as our coach and representative for our University. I hope the current players and the ones that follow realize the sacrifice that has been made by so many to provide them with a much improved facility that will enhance the game day experience for the fans, players and press.

On another note, the close up camera view will be providing a great view of a brick wall for the rest of the project. You might see a worker or piece of equipment pass by but that's about it.

It's to keep the mortar splatter off of what appears to be a decorative precast concrete block at the bottom of the wall. There is a tremendous amount of mortar (and brick) that drops from a brick laying operation. It's shocking the first time you see it. That's one of the reasons why you won't see anybody standing under the scaffolding while they a laying bricks. (the other reasons are quite obvious) If a brick falls, even from a relatively low scaffold, a hard hat won't help you.

Well the beer has a long way to go as well but that is another story near and dear to me. Lets just say don't judge any beer based on how it taste at the Tigue.
