That whole floor is mechanical room space for HVAC, sprinkler, exhaust systems etc. I would suspect much of that will be louvered covers to allow for air flow that will be required.

Another thought about that impressive pic you posted. Can you image how imposing that view will be to opposing pitchers, especially those who are accustomed to seeing only a handful of fans watching their teams?

I was able to take a tour last Saturday, not in the construction area but from the field. As big as you think it is in the pictures it is even bigger up close.

The person that gave me the tour asked me if I thought the new/bigger stadium would disrupt our pitchers. My comments were, well the guys come from high school so the old Tigue was already bigger, plus our guys practice here. I then said can you imagine the opposing team's pitcher coming in to this place. Man I am getting really pumped up this morning.

it looks like it will have banners hanging displaying the history of cajun baseball like alot of the big stadiums do these days, and like the cajundome did with the history of basketball.

Our pitchers had some great performances at Minute Maid last year. They should be fine.
