What I know, or is most likely, is that Robe and Coach Loteif are a lot closer to the end of their careers than the start of their careers.
A university in our position can never feel comfortable because getting coaches like these two defies logic. Enjoy the success while we can, and hope we have smart lucky people making decisions when it comes time to replace them. Neither stadium will be any more fun than the Cajun Dome with similar results.
Scaffolding should be finished today.
I've heard a few things regarding the potential new clubhouse/indoor hitting facility. They have thrown around the idea of building it where the Cajun bullpen is now and in that general area beyond the left field fence. Then they could move the Cajun bullpen to be behind the left field wall underneath the scoreboard and have a section of see-thru fencing where the pen is similar to an MLB stadium and have the pitchers out there. I could see this working very well as there is a ton of space behind the outfield wall, may have to lose a few pine trees but with progress that's inevitable anyway.
Well let's not go overboard. There is something to be said for a beautiful backdrop behind the fence and not just open sky and bland neighborhood roofs back there. Nobody said anything about "leveling all the pine trees". But cutting some down in opportune places makes Sensely. (That was totally meant to be *sense*, but autocorrect changed it to Sensely, I decided to roll with it.)
Hitting homeruns into or over the pine trees makes complete Sensely.
Plus I think Mr. Moore planted them.
