I agree, I'm all for the redshirt... Especially at the TE position. Let him grow and work....then have him for 4 years.

Also, Nick Byrne looks good. I know its early, but glad he's back. Now.. whether we throw him the ball or not is another story all together.

Bicky don't know if you remember this, but if you go back and look at the 6 quarters JD played QB at the end of last year he probably came close to hitting the tightend as much as the rest of the year combined. Bicky loves when the TE is involved in the passing game.

    Another positive...

If the Cajuns win, people will be talking about Boise St. losing all afternoon and night...since our game starts so damn early.

While I think we will be a much improved team this year, HUD has never been able to compete in the early season games against bigger schools. They will have the talent advantage at just about every position. We will have to win the turnover margin and play with nothing to lose if we are to pull this out. I'm thinking we lose this one pretty handily but will get better as the season progresses.

They competed pretty well against Kentucky last year.

Mostly, you're right. But unless a year removed has destroyed my memory, both offensive and defensive lines for the Cajuns look MUCH better at this point (which is early, I know). Our size and athleticism on OL especially stands out.

Again, I know it's early.. But Jennings is head and shoulders more polished than JD. Footwork, fluidity, natural with the football in his hands. I was certainly impressed.

You're starting to make me believe, MAT. I'm trying to use history as my guide... but you're starting to make me believe... we're going to crush Boise State! Geaux Cajuns!
