This is what I was referring to Mike. I saw all of his minutes and he scored some points but he lacked what every other big man on the court lacked, an NBA level of athleticism. He had trouble in the low blocks getting his shot off and he had trouble extending his defense out. Again, I'm not saying he doesn't have skills or won't one day make a roster but I'm just tempering some here's expectations based just because he played here. There are a lot of guys, who won't make rosters in the fall, who can put up points at this point and look good. It's just the other things that I think will hurt him moving forward.

Some people like to give a guy more than 14 minutes on a court before we decide if he is pedestrian at best...that's all. Especially one we watched the 4 years...especially one who didn't disappear against top level talent. You will never convince me Shawn doesn't have the athleticism that some of the big white slow goofy foreigners that play in the NBA have. He has learning to do and coaching to be had but he is athletic enough. The best defenders in the NBA over pursue and get blown by every single night in every game. The other guys are pros too you know.

Then give him more than 14 minutes and leave it alone. I gave my opinion on the matter and stated why I gave it. You gave yours. I understand how you feel as you have stated it over and over. It aint going to change my view. Only Long will do that. Move on.

But you can't seem to move on right? Or you wouldn't have posted this...or looked for Mike to say you were right

EDIT: Of course, not one highlight of Shawn. Posted before watching, but expected the leading scorer to be on the highlights
