With the current state of the economy here in the Lafayette area, I'm sure that tax revenue for the City/Parish government is down and local government is feeling the pinch for funds like everyone else.
With that said, should the Cajuns be required to play some (or all) of their games at Fabacher Field (or any other venue for that matter) I wonder how much "Rent" the Baseball program will be required to "pay" for use of that other facility? Would it be fair for the citizens of Lafayette to allow the Cajuns to use the facility rent free, simply because UL didn't take care of its own business?
Just a random thought!

is paid transportation of student-athletes on home dates a violation? and is there a different entitlement for scholarship as opposed to non-scholarship student-athletes?

Why did it go private??
Well Fellas,
I'll be leaving town this evening and heading to the fun and sun of the Florida beaches for the next 10 days! I will attempt to step away from all of this madness to let my blood pressure get back to normal. To speed up my recovery, and enhance my health, I will spend time sipping on some of MelRock's suggestions of gourmet bourbon or some other various mixtures of "rot gut" and "brews". When I get back to town, I plan on riding by Cajun Field to take a first hand look at the remodeled "Tigue"!!!!!! I can't wait!
In the meantime, I trust all of you will hold down the fort. LMAO!
Be careful....a Ville Platte guy is in critical condition from flesh eating bacteria. This happened on beaches in Mississippi. Hope this doesn't move its way to Florida.
Didn't Alden recommend that UL take a look at its radio contract. Maybe we should move to a real station with a signal beyond 2 blocks of campus. If Farmer is outta here, Alden's plan is followed, and a new radio station is contracted with, he could quite possibly be out of a job. Could that be why BOP seems to be so steadfastly supportive of Farmer? Hmmm...
