I'm with you.

I have about 25 friends that are STRONGLY CONSIDERING halting their RCAF contributions, dropping extra season tickets, eliminating extra club memberships, declining to do goodwill work for athletic programs, etc.....but you know what?? They wouldn't give a flying _____ about it if we stopped. We wouldn't get one phone call, not one email, not a knock on the door. No one would question it because they are blind bats. We are just minnows and aren't important enough to matter to anything. If they would stop doing all this darn silent phase crud and start sending out pamphlets, conducting open forum meetings on goals, and EXACTLY what amount of money is needed and what needs to be collected we would not be in this predicament.....I'm so freakin mad it's almost not worth my time anymore. I feel like we've been taken back about 20 years. USL'ing this whole thing to death.

I honestly think that the people in charge at UL truly love UL. They just can't get out of their old paths to find better ones. Over the years on this forum, we've had many surrogate mouthpieces for the university actually bad mouth this forum and the fans. They actually think we are not the loudest most passionate fans at the events.

I'll spare the dissertation that's welling up in my head right now. But suffice to say... this institution needs uncommon leadership right now. It needs to be within the eye and earshot of the masses. It cannot be communicated by the usual surrogates. They've lost their credibility on the masses. They too frequently want to keep the common route alive... while they bad mouth the ragin fans. It is stupid... always was stupid... and will forever be the stupid way to manage humans.

1420 is an arm of the administration. You will get no information of substance calling them. Your best bet is to look out for Luke (and I believe something is coming soon) and calling 103.7 FM. At least they'll let you speak on the air. As posted by someone a few weeks ago, KLAF is really trying to ramp up its Cajun coverage. What a way to make a splash by exposing Farmer and the pigs.......

1420 is old school mentality just like USL is. Think about this....The flagship athletic radio station is still carried on am radio.....I mean, do we still use beepers as well?? That station makes me laugh, it's hard to catch actual sports when you're in range these days.

From what I have heard, no one likes Farmer, not the coaches, not the RCAF board, not the RCAF members, no one. I would bet some of the big money supporters would gladly pay his final contract year salary and get him out of here. Would Dr. S accept that? If not, why not after all the fiascos that continue to take place?
