obviously I don't know what you did or didn't do. but your listing of the link seems vague

thanks for clarification.
I thought the family and friends provision applies only to the money aspect but not the "encourage"ment aspect...... i.e. a parent can buy a car for a family member who may be a recruit, but still cant "recruit" them to go to a certain school. isn't that what Blindside was all about., the financial support was ok, but they weren't deemed to have "encouraged" Michael to go to Ole Miss. he "fairly" chose ole miss on his own without influence. another example is Manziel, people said his parents were wealthy, but still seemed like there was undo influence to go to TXam.
trying to turn the conversation generic, not worried about campo118 specifically, just think it is good for all to have as much info as possible, and I am interested by the topic, perfectly understand if noone else is interested.
They questioned the family aspect because he was adopted near his becoming a prime prospect. I'm going to sell the hell out of UL to my great nephew if his dad is no longer head coach at another university b
The NCAA is such a corrupt organization. They actually believe that "Family" and "Friends" should have no influence in where some athletes choose to attend and that they it can enforce that rule on a consistent basis. Unless some crazy family member of friend does something stupid by publicly announcing their influence on someone from a roof top somewhere this means nothing! The fact that someone is an athlete will not, and should not, top them from hearing from and getting advice from "Family" and "Friends" simply because they have the ability to possibly play at the next level.
I thought the rules were designed so that athletes would be treated like other students. I'm pretty sure non-athletes get a lot of info on college choices from family members and friends.
BTW, Ms. Denham is a very pretty young lady. Glad she chose us and looking forward to watching her in the seasons to come.
