    It's actually comical.
This tournament was a chance to prove that we are better than P5 schools.
The difference in hosting a super regional and regional series was basically on the line.
Our rpi took a hit this weekend. And now we will be playing through the sun belt with little chance of bringing it back up to get nationally ranked.
Yes we can still host a regional. But hosting a super regional is likely out of the conversation now

I love how stupid people are that think this was anything more than an early season match up. Our team had many holes to fill, but some people think we are a top 10 team. So by all means live in your little fantasy world. Just as last years team stumble early on so will this one, Robe is building the team to play on the post season.

I agree with all the polls except for the collegiate baseball poll. Ranked #6 and then dropped out? That's a big bump. I would expect 25 or something. Long season though. Let's get better.

Too much irony here to pass up.

You do realize we beat a ranked team last night? You do realize, we're still ranked in 4/5 major polls, right? You do realize, we played 3 different starting lineups this weekend, right? You do realize, we play a very formidable schedule the remainder of the season, including many "ranked P5 schools" right? You do realize, the SunBelt is a good baseball league, right? You do realize, the team we swept last weekend just sent on the road to a "ranked P5" power and swept them, right?

Robe told you exactly what he was going to do with his team. This weekend was for an education.

Only 9 of the top 25 teams in the D1 baseball poll went undefeated this past weekend.

IMO we are not out of the running to host a super regional. In 2014 when we hosted we did not play in this style of tournament. We played LSU once and won the Alabama series at home. There were no other P5 schools on the schedule. If this team gets on a roll, beats LSU, sweeps Southeastern and Tulane, wins outright conference and conference tourny, they will host.

I bet many posters on this board did not even play high school baseball and know more about college baseball than me. I played 2 years of college baseball (not that it matters).

We are not out of the running by any means because we have a pretty tough schedule but it tools to be 58-10 to host a super. It depends on what happens around you as far as your opponents and also other people's resume fur those national seed. I don't think it's something anyone should concern themselves with, not this early. If we get towards the end and we are right there you can start keeping an eye on scenarios....or you could watch it now and end up missing and not enjoying an entire regular season.
