MAT, we MAY have been just a quarter away, but the problem was it was the FIRST quarter!! They have NOT learned how to START a game yet!!

Sax, we can't complete passes, and our offensive staff is not creative enough to exploit the middle with the intermediate passing game. Teams know this by now. A StAte was never in danger of losing that game.

The coaching staff can take all that moral victory and career day crap and sell their snake oil to someone else. We got our butts handed to us and the only reason we did as well as we did in the 2nd half was because stAte knew they had us. They never felt once that we would come back in win. The took the foot off the gas and our coach staff can spin it as adversity and proud and all that j___ but we suck.

We have been blown out 3 of 6 games... I go back to 2009 and see 5 blowout losses. LSU, Nebraska, FAU, Middle and Try. What has changed?

Beyond a final score and a box score, our brass, fans, and many in the media have absolutely no idea what they're seeing on the field. To think we had a chance in that game is laughable.

Why do you guys think we keep "coming back" in the second half? Teams are letting up, subbing, protecting a lead. Same with our "improved defense" in the second half. Teams score in bunches and then get conservative and sit on the ball. Just watch the games!

Just enough for the coaches to believe they are close to being a good team.

We pay a lot more...and we expect a lot more.

Unfortunately, I have finally accepted that we are not a good football team and we are losing badly to other mediocre teams. Almost no positives to take away from this first half of the season.

I'll tell you what has changed. There are so many more bowls games today that it's possible for even crappy teams to play in one of them. This also makes it possible for very mediocre coaches to strut around acting as if they're worth a million bucks a year or so.
