My statement is that Coach Hud has gotten everything he's asked for. It is HIS responsibility now to produce.

Guys- foote always says it. This is a medicine season. We're not that good/experienced this year. How many seniors did we loose from last year's team? And at what positions? I think any school in the country that lost as many seniors that we did and at the positions we did would be struggling. Plus, For several of their replacements- this is their first game experience. Every school has Down years- this is ours. We haven't had a down season in the last 4. What I want to see is progress moving forward. I want to see leaders step up. You can laugh, but the truth is we will benefit tremendously from the APC in recruiting. We will continue to move in the right direction- this is just 1 bad season. Really- does anyone really think we're about reel off multiple seasons like this one? Support this team!
We haven't had a down year in the last four...but we also haven't had a signature win.
I can't understand for the life of me why we are not better than we were 4 years ago! The loss to Kentucky was expected but I liked how we played the second half and saw some positives. But to get embarrassed at home against Akron and to get the snot beat out of us by LA Tech ( two years in a row) is unacceptable!!! I don't want to hear about how good those two teams are, why are we not that good to at least compete to the end of the game! Record season ticket sales and and all of the money that is being donated yet we are taking steps backwards?
This is essentially what I thought coming into this season. Losing that much experience and starting a lot of first-timers is going to hurt any team, look at Alabama. Even though they still win games, they're not the same team they were when they had experienced lines and an experienced qb in Mcarron. Keep in mind that that is a school that regularly gets the best recruits in the nation every year. If we get to six losses sooner rather than later I would seriously think about just using the remaining games to get Davis and Ray some experience because I think we need to start looking at more long-term solutions because next year is Haack and Nixon's last year and I don't think they're going to get much better than they are now.
So we know Hud can coach up Bustle's recruits but he cannot much with his own. We are young and inexperienced is not an excuse. If we were that talented behind the Srs from last year, Hud should have found a way to get these "young" guys some experience.
When true freshman come in and get more playing time over RS-So and Jrs, there is something wrong.
Last year was the pinnacle of talent, yet we started 1-3, including a home beat down by LaTech? Hud's saying this year isn't any different than last year now that we're 1-3. This "lost our seniors" BS is an annual event. It is no excuse. We now have year 5 under Hud - a man credited, nationally, with resuscitating a dead program. With successive bowl victories and hype out of the rear end, we're less in year 5 than we were in year one? Really?
Excuses of a talent void are unacceptable. Hud is a great hype coach and he did crank up the strength and conditioning element. That's a given. But his coaching of football and/or selection of people to coach it under him is abissmal. My eyes don't lie to me. Decent football programs and coaches make Hud and his staff look like they learned to coach from a seminar.
Akron and Tech. Hud's embarrassed us. And he needs to know it.
Hud brought hype and conditioning to Bustle's players. That's pretty obvious, now, as to why it ratcheted up our output in year one. I've seen a degradation in fundamental coaching. Our best days are strictly when our athletes just out athlete another team. And that usually requires that other team to suck. We're lucky most teams we face... suck. I wouldn't count on the rest of the SBC to suck enough for us the remainder of this year.
I think Hud is losing the team and the locker room. There is a mutiny between who is the best qb and who is the best friend if everyone on the team. He has everything he has asked for and if last night was what a great week of practice and regaining our edge and playing with laser beam focus is about....well that sucks. I don't want to hear about packing Cajun field, I don't want to hear about the APC, I don't want tonhearvabout injuries. Figure out how to coach your football team. Our sec staff sucks az. Our offense sucks az. The fans are giving 10 times the support compared to the results.
I think we're realizing how good a qb Broadway really was.
