I like to think the reason we lost this game was the conditioning the McNeese athletes receive is so much better than ours. Baling Hay, birthing cows, spreading fertilizer, etc. We can't beat a team full of farm hands.

I think they were all confused. The catcher, pitcher, and definately the base runner. Regardless, the book is out on us from last year we have become predictable. And it's alllllllll the more reason u don't do it on the first pitch.
It was frustrating to watch all the missed opportunities but I'm happier our pitching is looking solid so far. We have plenty of guys to rotate in and out of the field if they're cold. Robbins, Powell, Trosclair, and Mills with zero hits. Clement, and Butler also had terrible outings at the plate. That being said, I hope they can step up like the guys we need them to be.
After watching all 8 games this season IMO this team will be good. Last nights game was just one of those games. Last years team did not have many obviously, but they did have some. Lost UNO at home, Jackson State in Regional 1 to 0, Last to UT Arlington late had a comfortable lead. It's baseball, it happens! Now concerning the squeeze play, assuming that was the call. The runner is taught to break on Pitcher front foot land, so runner is watching pitcher. Coach should be watching catcher. Remember suicide squeeze, not safety squeeze. Runner is gone. Not much he could have done. I agree bad call in that situation.
Guys, they threw their Friday and Saturday starters while we threw our weekday arms. We'll be fine.
