As collegiate athlete, winning a team title in 2004 was the highlight of college career. He had to be bitter bout lost and answered with an lil attitude. Everyone plays to win something.

Bottom line is when we play a quality team....let's say in the Bowl game, and they see how weak our secondary is, it will not be pretty. We have one of the greatest teams in my memory since early 80s, not saying we don't. But we better get a handle on the secondary, because we may not always have the explosive offense we have this year and will need to be balanced in order to continue the winning. W's are important, but how you win and against who is also important on building on success.
Up until last night, it had. In conference, we are giving up barely over 20 points per game which will win you games when you put points up on the board. They exposed an old flaw in our defense which is our secondary but for us, that is always tied into to how much pressure we can put on the QB. When we are rushing well and making him uncomfortable, he will often misfire but when we are bringing our 3 man rush, we will give up tons of passing yardage.
Its just CYA. If they were in a position to contend for a championship, they'd be singing a different tune but he's just trying to deflect the fact that they really haven't competed for a championship in a while so he's trying to do what he can to take any negative attention off of him so he can keep his job. Sounds stupid though
So is it safe to say that at this point we are in a bowl game for sure? Will the NO Bowl come calling?
