Haack has played well every time he has had an opportunity other than in one game, the start at USA last year. He did well in mop up duty last year and when it counted against ULM (after Broadway was injured). This year same results off the bench, strong play in mop up duty against Southern and ULM along with strong play when it counts vs Ga. State. Therefore we know he is a good relief pitcher but we do not have enough of a sample size to determine what type of starter he may be.

Lol how much more do you need?

Let's make it more clear for Mike. Brooks came in with the game hanging in the balance in a must win situation. If he implodes we lose.He made plays. Winning QB play.

Brooks and TB played well. I was really happy to see both of them respond so well under pressure. I'm sure all Cajuns fans feel the same way

Broadway played BETTER. He still did the same things he always does. Fortunately, he had Robinson in the lineup and he (TB) didn't fall down before contact when running.

Gotta comment on something said on BEV: Why do people keep insisting that Brooks was lucky on the Riles throw and "bailed out" on the Pettis catch?

1st off, Larry made a catch. But Haack FOUND him and trusted him to make the play. That's half the battle at QB. He was also, from what I could tell the third option on the play! And as far as the Riles completion, it was absolutely the correct decision, and the only decision that was safe enough to attempt. Also, he escaped and kept his eyes down the field, something we all know has been an issue, especially second half of last year and beginning of this year, with TB.

    Someone really said that? ROFLMFAO

Haack threw a perfect seam route to Pettis, and put the ball on the side away from the defender, so Larry could use his body to create separation. That is how real quarterbacks do it. It is called throwing your receiver open.

On the Riles pass, Haack put it in about the only spot that Riles had a chance to make a play, after eluding intense pressure. Probably 80% of all college QBs either throw it out of bounds or throw a jump ball or pick on that play.

    Haters gonna hate.

Cholly, my assessment on Saturday Night....Broadway improved and was very efficient running the offense.....Haack is progressing nicely and when called on at a critical stage of the game preformed very well.....if this continues we are in great shape offensively

I don't disagree with that, BB. I just have my doubts about us continuing to improve against better defenses than GaSt.

Thanks VO, that's how I saw it as well.

PS, that statement belongs to none other than the voice of Cajun Football.
