You might want to repeat that lecture on BB&B. Posts about UL have been pretty nasty over there well before this week. Don't try to act like it was one-sided or anything new.

Congrats on the win. It was an old fashioned beatdown.

Beaux, I am not sure why you are singling out my post. I did not talk any trash this week and I tend to be pretty passive when it comes to this kind of stuff. All I was asking is when do we return the trip up north. I want nothing more than a healthy renewed rivalry between are two schools in all sports. Once again, great game and good luck the rest of the way!

    Geaux Cajuns!

I was not singling out anyone's post. I was just saying that it all got out of hand and crossed over from good natured smack to just plain vicious.

Not necessarily. Do your hard work, separate.

We were called stupid and should "know our place" when we left the SuckBelt, to create our own identity and to get separation from the other state schools. Back then, you could throw all of the state schools in a bag and it didn't matter which one you pulled out, cause we were all the same. We were told, "La Tech HAS to play NLU and USL and NSU and Centenary and McNeese, cause that is who Tech is associated with and will never be anything more than that."

We wanted more, we wanted better and we weren't afraid to step out and wander the wastelands. We've been affiliated with so many different conferences since then, we can't even name them all. But, we ended up, even temporarily, being conference mates with some very very good programs: Boise, Nevada, Fresno,Hawaii, Tulsa, SMU, Houston, etc. etc. And even today, we are very happy with the results. But, we are not done. Much much more hard work is necessary.

You guys called us stupid to join the WAC, with all the travel costs and late games and no local coverage. Well, we would choose ANYTHING, as long as it was NOT the SuckBelt.

Time for ya'll to separate. 1) Put on your big boy boots and kick ULM in the mouth. Stomp them until there is nothing left. Then, make them change their name back to NLU. 2) Leave the Belt and Mr Peanuts and don't...ever...look...back. Even if you have to go Indy. Do it. It is the only way to separate from ULM. 3) Split the Belt. Take the top six or so schools and create a new conference. Call it the American South or Southwest conference.

Just Separate. It's what we've done. And, we don't care if it looks like arrogance to the other state schools. We DON'T CARE. We will and should only do what's best for us.

    Staying in the Belt...is....not...what's...best...for...you

Let's get something straight...your trip into the WAC only ended in a CUSA invite because you were the plumpest rat left on the sinking ship. Your budget is nowhere near where you said it would be. Your capital projects are several years behind and falling more and more behind each day. Your programs have shown the ability to crater a good season on several occasions and your overt focus on football and basketball only shows how small time you really are. You were stupid to join the WAC, and lucky there wasn't anyone left to ____ off in the WAC when it came time for the last choices to be made and they took all of your lies about where your program was heading in stride. You didn't separate...you still aren't a Doctoral 1 university and thank god USNEWS considers you a Tier 1 university because it seems like the only thing you have to hang your hat on at the moment.

You wanted more, you wanted better...and you stumbled ___ backwards into a CUSA that resembled the SBC you left to join the WAC.

I would obviously have preferred to win this game. And getting skull ____ed up and down the field for 2 and a half quarters hurt. But ask me if I'd rather be in our shoes long term or theirs...that's an easy call. We are good at more sports, our endowment is much larger (that's what she said), our population base is larger and economically stronger, etc etc. One of the worse things about that loss is having to listen to dip____s like this lecture us, when they only got into a "better" conference based upon bold faced lies. But you know what, our team ____ the bed, so now we have to listen to it. I will just comfort myself with the fact I have never had to live in Ruston, and God willing that will always be the case.
