I did feel bad for the student side Saturday. But, when I was their age, I sought out the sun and fried in it. I have to say... I like the night football game atmosphere. It just feels right. It isn't a huge issue to me either way... I will still make the games. The bigger issue to me is whether this is good for fan attendence and our future. I would hope that regardless of the reasons for 4pm, the program's future takes precedence in future scheduling decisions.

Game times almost definitely will be pushed back next year. Sun issue with students is the main reason. Administration does want all games to start at the same time. They also are reluctant to go to 7 PM. 5, 5:30, and 6 PM are all being considered. I suspect 5:30 may be the compromise. This will allow games to still finish relatively early meaning staff does not have to be there until midnight. Coaches will also complete their game reviews at a reasonable hour. Coaches also get antsy keeping players occupied on game day. They are very anxious to go out and hit someone. That is one of the
main reasons games were moved to 4 PM. They will just have to stay occupied a couple of more hours next year.

it seems like i remember last year when we did play at 7oclock, everyone was complaining how people would not go in the game b/c they would stay and watch the lsu outside or they would come tailgate and then go home to watch the 7 oclock lsu games. i think everyone is really wearing this subject out. I think we should do whatever the coaches and players want to do. No matter what time the game start it will inconvenience someone.

Can we get this for baseball and Baskeball too? Except Sunday's I know visiting teams have to catch a flight and board buses home. . . . . just dreaming.

Speaking of 5:30 can we get the ticket office to stay open till at least 5:30? Those 6 hour work days have got to be hurting spur of the moment sales.

    I think a 5:30 compromise is a good idea.

I didn't mind so much what we've been doing the past couple of years. 7pm kickoffs for August/September and 4pm kickoffs for October/Novemmber.

I wish they would just go back to that.

Remember, games late in the season will be effected by Daylight Savings Time. 4pm kickoffs will really be 5pm kickoffs. Plus, it can get awful cold at night late in the year. So, I don't mind so much early kickoffs late in the season.

Early kickoffs in August/September have always been and always will be spurned by the fans except in the cases of TV or a Big Time Opponnent.

I don't see what is so wrong with what we have been doing before.

Much less time to have to kill. This is the way it was done at Va. Tech.

We will all just have to adjust.

If indeed this is Coach Bustles desire he is way off base. 4PM kickoffs cause a lot of people rush getting to games. There are still those who work on Saturdays

I heard that the desired time was even earlier...
    maybe before noon...
and that 4 pm is the comprimise.

Bustle's preference is noon. He told me so in an e-mail.

College football is meant to be played during the day,no later tha 2:00 in my opinion, although I realize it is hot as heck in September. Maybe an exception for September games as has been suggested elsewhere.
