Weird goings on over there, man.. Tate coached my son at a few football camps. He was a really nice guy, and I wish him all the luck in the world.

The little bit I could get out of Burt was that you were either for, or agin, Tate. There were always some rumblings about how the Pokes played. It seemed like no one was ever satisfied...win or lose.Originally Posted by Zeebart21
I guess the loss Saturday night to S Dakota State was the straw that broke the horses back. They had a good lead at the end of the first half, and got their butts handed to them in the second half. That, plus numerous penalties, some that smacked of lack of discipline, probably is the reason for his release.
Seems odd to do it at this stage of the season. But like you said..Weird goings on over there. It is going to be a long season for the Cowboys, I think.
This is a stupid page beacuse all you are doing is _____ing. If you can go to the game go, if not don't go

How much more recruiting could Bustle & company do with this. This will help improve our program each year. Remember, we are building a "program" that will be looking for a better conference in 2 to 3 years.
I went to the game on Saturday and sat in the student section and I must say I got a little tired of staring into the sun for 2 1/2 hours. I say 7pm would be awesome, there's nothing like the Swamp on a Saturday night!!
This is an issue. I will be at the game no matter what time it starts, and I will be there at least 6 hours before kickoff to get hammered and tailgate, as is our group's rule. but, to be in the sun all day (tent or not) and then sit with Big Red glaring at you and baking you, that is a potential issue. Some of people aren't as tolerant of this, as are the 'rabid' student and fans like myself. I remember previous years that these earlier games were at 7 then the later ones at 4. Either way, i don't care. As long as I get to watch the Cajuns play.Originally Posted by bigguill
I do agree with what the guy above said, stop bithcing about it and go to the games if you can. don't like the sun? There is a big elevated shady part of the stadium on the other side. Have kids? Get a babysitter. Have to work? Take off, its only six saturdays.
ask coach bustle and he will tell you it's not his call.....take the time call him on his show, if it were left to him they would play early, i'll be there no matter what time the game is played i really don't care my vote don't count, but what about 6pm sept/oct then 4pm nov/dec.....................
I did feel bad for the student side Saturday. But, when I was their age, I sought out the sun and fried in it. I have to say... I like the night football game atmosphere. It just feels right. It isn't a huge issue to me either way... I will still make the games. The bigger issue to me is whether this is good for fan attendence and our future. I would hope that regardless of the reasons for 4pm, the program's future takes precedence in future scheduling decisions.

This will allow games to still finish relatively early meaning staff does not have to be there until midnight. Coaches will also complete their game reviews at a reasonable hour. Coaches also get antsy keeping players occupied on game day. They are very anxious to go out and hit someone. That is one of the
main reasons games were moved to 4 PM. They will just have to stay occupied a couple of more hours next year.
it seems like i remember last year when we did play at 7oclock, everyone was complaining how people would not go in the game b/c they would stay and watch the lsu outside or they would come tailgate and then go home to watch the 7 oclock lsu games. i think everyone is really wearing this subject out. I think we should do whatever the coaches and players want to do. No matter what time the game start it will inconvenience someone.

Speaking of 5:30 can we get the ticket office to stay open till at least 5:30? Those 6 hour work days have got to be hurting spur of the moment sales.
