What about Huval? I'd like to see the Saints sign him. I think he'd at least make their practice squad. He's got pro potential for sure.

Well, I heard Sean Payton this afternoon saying they would sure love to get their hands on a young center, But they didn't have a place in the draft where one was the right pick. I'm thinking free agency for a guy like Huval with his leadership skills would be great. I grew up a couple of blocks over from a guy named Jay Pennison. Jay was my quarterback in bantom league. Long story short Jay outgrew the QB position & became a center in High school. The only school who even gave Jay a try was Nicholls State. Well Jay worked real hard & became a
1-AA all american. But that didn't mean much since Jay was still undersized for the NFL. Anyhow, Jay was drafted by the Jacksonvill Bulls in the 6th round or something like that to play in the USFL. Well Jay kept fighting it out. And eventually wound up as the starting center for the Houston Oilers in the run & shoot offense.

Andre reminds me a lot of Jay Pennison. I believe if he wanted to, he could make an NFL roster, especially a practice squad. I thought he had the most talent of any player we had graduating last year that translated to the NFL level.

I hope he is super successful. In the future, the Cajuns need guys like him on a local level as head coaches at area high schools. From everything I have heard about his character, work ethic, and dedication to scholastics; if I had a son I would love to have a guy like Andre coaching him.

Would love to see him give it one good try though. Wish him well what ever he does. He really represented this school with great dignity & pride.
