Thread: Former verbals staying close to home

  1. Default Former verbals staying close to home

The UL Ragin' Cajuns invested plenty of time, money and energy into recruiting two Grenada (Miss.) High teammates. It evidently did not pay off, as – a week-and-a-half after losing one – UL appears to have lost another of its top Mississippi recruiting

Granted, we don't want to lose commitments. But, if they feel they belong somewhere else, then good luck. I don't follow recruiting closely, but I think after the next season (if the season turns out the way we all hope), we may see more of the 3 to 4 star recruits.

Why would a sports reporter think it important enough to print an article with a huuuge headline on page 2 of the sports section about us losing two kids from another state? I could understand if they were local guys we were losing. I just don't get the point of printing that under such prominant headlines.

Slow news day. Not being able to get out and means less story options.
