My brother in law, whose brother is a top 15 donor for LSU, fell asleep during the game. Tells me a lot about the perception of LSU fans that even a die-hard, LSU grad, season ticket holder just didn't give two spits about that game

3k....maybe 4k to Monroe last year; maybe 2k to Mobile this year. I don't think there is any way in hell we take 15k to Tampa.

Also, I think destination has a lot to do with it. New Orleans is a pretty good place to go hang out. I think LSU would have traveled better to the Rose Bowl than they did to Tampa.

Let us somehow find ourselves in the Texas Bowl and we will bring at least 25k.

So The trip goes from 2 hours to 3 hours and our crowd drops from 40k to 25k? That's kinda my point. I think the only bowls we can legitimately talk smack about are regionally placed teams that didn't travel. Beating your/our chest in the face of someone who had to travel makes no sense. No way to back it up.

No way to know ....Outback Bowl, if we were to make it, would be against a major opponent....not ULM or S. Alabama....That in itself could attract 15,000 Cajun fans

In not sure we travel well outside of NO. I would rather see it happen than give speculation. I spoke before of my diss appointment in the number of Cajun fans I seen in Arkansas first game of year. Next year, wife and I planning for Boise, Monroe on road. Of course, bowl to anywhere.

I was there and thought we brought a pretty damn good crowd---Any figures??

Once attending a bowl becomes an annual part of the average UL fans budget, the fans will travel.

Before that happens, New Orleans is the only (sure hit) spur of the moment destination. Houston has potential.

You sir are delusional. The Cajun Nation would absolutely bring more than 15K to Tampa for a big bowl game against a big opponent. Cajun support of a bowl in Houston would blow the doors of the stadium. Shreveport similar to first NOLA, but less, not much less. Mobile, the night before the big crystal ball game, after all the other games, early January. That is a hard sell to anyone who has been to a bowl or two recently. I tip my hat to the stAte fans on that bowl.

As for Papo Ramos, if the price hurts you probably spending too much on entertainment.

Finally, just heard yesterday that EllisWho in an effort to underwrite their academics passed a huge fee increase to the football fans. That is a hard sell asking people to keep up with UF, Bama, UGA, TAMU in the football wars by simply swiping their fun money for academics.
