I am sure you can. When I was in high school, one member of the scout team would get one each week. Sort of a "Scout Team Player of the Week." I really liked this as a lot of people fail to realize the importance of a good scout team to help prepare the team every week. I really like the idea of classroom stickers as well.

@GreatestStory When I played we loved the incentive stickers. I would imagine most kids still do these days. As "childish" as it may seem, if done right it is a great way to recognize these kids accomplishments for going out there each and every day and working their asses off to give us a little entertainment on Saturdays (or Tuesdays)

I totally understand the purpose of the stickers, as we were also awarded them when I played.

I just think it cheapens the reward when the same stickers are given to someone who "practiced hard" and to someone who threw the game winning TD. If you are going to say that "both guys are equally important to the team's success"... you are absolutely right, so I see no need to give either one a sticker.

There may be no "I" in "TEAM", but I got more stickers on my helmet than you! Nanny nanny boo-boo.

Well we could reward them with a tshirt but that almost got us the death penalty. It's the only way to reward a player without it being improper benefits...for now

Wow. WTF cares? If giving the 5th string RB a sticker keeps him involved then cover that _____ up with stickers! We aren't talking about handing out Heisman Trophies to the scout team.

Guess someone didn't get any helmet stickers when he played and now he feels noone should.

I have never heard or witnessed any player brag to others about helmet stickers and I surely wouldn't imagine Coach Hud's Players doing this. It is simply a way to recognize players for for going above and beyond, nothing more, nothing less.

You seem to be quite the sticker lover so here's a great idea: you should start a sticker company and sell helmet stickers to all the college football teams that don't use them. Out of 247 college football teams (125 FBS & 122 FCS), only 33 teams use stickers. As cool as stickers are, I can't wrap my mind around why 214 teams have decided not to use them. Surely you can convince colleges that stickers are cool and will make the players not only feel, but also play better.

BONUS BUSINESS TIP: Then you could move on to the NFL where no teams use stickers (untapped market).

I guess I am half @$$ed serious about this!!! Does any body know???

That's my whole point. I'm not against the stickers, it just seems they give them out for every little thing. Which in my eyes cheapens the whole reward system. Broadway gets one for throwing a TD and someone else gets one for being a good boy on the scout team. We have players who never see the field, but have 20 stickers on their helmets?!? To me, the system seems to be along the lines of the "everyone gets a trophy" mentality.

Those players that have never seen the field but yet go to practice everyday, get up at 5am and go to workouts, play scout team. Basically used as live tackling dummies knowing most likely they will never see the field. You are worried about their sticker cheapening Broadway's?

Broadway gets his props...I can promise you that he would be the first to tell you that a great scout player who bust there ___ at practice and prepares the first team for what they are up against on Saturdays deserves a "trophy" just as much if not more than he does. This is an internal grading and reward system between the coaches and players and if Hud believes a kid deserves a trophy than he deserves a trophy.
