BeauCajun and I were discussing this decision the other day, and two things about Stewart stuck out to me. He was adamant about his use of the 3-4, and he had difficulty in making adjustments during game time. Think ASU and the same play three times in a row that led to a TD.

He seemed like a nice guy who was passionate about this program and its players. I wish him well, and I hope he finds success down the road.

Was it three times in a row, or an entire drive? I think it was an entire drive they did the same play over and over again, all the way down the field.

Needed to be done. Coach Stewart seemed like a nice, passionate guy but he was just not doing that well here. This was a smart move by Hud. Now he has to hire the right guy.

His name has come up, but the question remains does he have a relationship with Hudspeth to garner his trust. I'm not sure where they stand with each other at this time. But Guidry is a good recruiter and has earned his stripes.
