Well, glad I was wrong. I though even if you got pushed out, you had to reestablish yourself back in the field of play.

You need not establish yourself in the field of play (before touching the ball) when the reason you were OB was due to a defensive penalty.
The pass interference called by the refs is not reviewable. The replay booth was likely ensuring that Lawson did catch the ball in bounds, but it took a while.

I was getting frustrated with the TV broadcast crew ... they were insisting that the officials were reviewing whether or not Lawson was actually pushed OB. Umm, no guys.
The refs ruled pass interference ... which is not reviewable. Had it been ruled in the replay booth that Lawson did not catch the ball in the field of play, the pass interference penalty would have been accepted and enforced.

The broadcast crew is less than stellar. Brazda is a good newscaster, local personality. Horrific as a football color commentator.
Harry Peoples...wow...

The New Orleans Bowl will extend a bid to UL after tonight's game if it holds on to beat South Alabama. UL leads 31-16 in the third quarter.
