Anyhow, I am surprised OSU didn't drop further, having lost to an unranked team. Maybe it coming on the heals of a school tragedy had something to do with it.

In reality, the championship is highly highly likely to be two SEC teams. Not only has the SEC won the championship 5 out of the past 6 years... but now they place two teams in the game. Dang.

I wish the 4 team playoff would get worked out. My preference would be that all teams in that 4 team playoff be from different conferences (forced into the equation). My 8 team playoff system also requires that one slot be reserved for the highest ranked non AQ ranked school. I believe in a small enforcement of parity creation by the playoff system.

UL is bowl bound!!! Geaux Cajuns!!!
The BCS better prepare itself...if they pick two SEC teams for a friggin rematch the outcry will be deafening. I can see the whole of college football outside of the SEC turning their backs on the BCS system. To people who want a playoff this could be the BCS's Waterloo.

How about the insanity scenario. Say LSU wins out, and Arkansas loses to LSU, Bama loses to Auburn, Oklahoma State loses to Oklahoma, Stanford loses to Notre Dame or in the PAC 12 championship, Boise St loses to either Wyoming or New Mexico, Virginia Tech loses in the ACC Title game, and Houston loses in the CUSA championship. In this unlikely but possible scenario, LSU at 13-0 would play a 2 loss team, and even if they would lose the game, would have a better record, and probably would maintain their standing as #1 in the BCS formula. This just dawned on me, nothing would cry for a playoff more than just that situation.

If OSU wins out, they play for the national championship. They would still be undefeated in regulation!! Remember that one!

I thought about that myself, but don't forget that Alabama's only loss was also in OT and it was to the #1 team in the country.

I believe the Razorbacks play LSU A&M BATON ROUGE. I think it is the Friday after Thanksgiving.
