The metrics of this poll probably ignores Nicholls and see 8 wins in the rest of UL's opponents only 4 games into the season. And when you consider the easy (overall) schedule the BCS conferences take early in the season . . .
As soon as the season moves along, UL could go undefeated and they would probably drop in this poll.
It's just fun to note.

Hud definitely has the team on the right "trajectory" but all this poll really shows is how pointless early-season computer polls are.
