The phrase “Sometimes blessings come in disguise!!!” comes to mind... Shawn is probably a great kid and certainly a good ball player but this older brother seems way to involved and I’d be scared he would become a distraction to a TEAM.

Trust me when I say this Johnboy. Had Long decided on the Cajuns this thread would be popping with positive feedback and rightfully so.

I will say this.

I'm not sure he would have made a huge impact here in year one. However, he has the skill set to eventually play in the SEC.

He will not be able to compete as a freshman defensively. Also, he will never be at the level of the bigs a Florida or Kentucky.

Also, this is the third LA big man I remember the Dogs signing....

Elgin Bailey and Kodi Augustus were both much better than him coming out of high school.

But, the old addage is if your are a big man and you wait until late enough someone will take you because there is no size remaining.

I like Stansbury a lot, but the hot seat is starting to turn up on him a little bit. If he does not make a run this year, things could turn quickly.
