La Tech has now gotten 11 jucos---three have 3 stars and one HS kid Fitte(sp) from South Plaq. has 3 stars----How do we get the stars to shine for our recruits---2 of them have 4 stars!!!!

Stars only matter when you recruit them. When you don't, "they don't matter."

That being said I am very excited about the type of players we're getting. VERY excited.

Zee, I'm not interested in a daily star check for some people. Ratings have been explained over and over on this site. Coach Hudspeth just needs to win and all will be three or four stars in my book.

Yea you are right ---but I just like to have some great things printed to pass on to others---All coaches at the other schools that are ahead of our #115 that we currently have in the recruiting wars---and yes T Caj has pointed this out to me-----But you can believe that every coach on my staff would have this ranking to show to a kid------And guess what???? When it is shown to a kid by 3 different schools----IT IS VERY EFFECTIVE!!!! You have to get back to the kid and point out all of T-Caj's reasoning of #s signed etc.

I see this being a nice tool if you are one of the big programs. However, at this stage, we are often going after players who are sometimes overlooked or not that known to other players we may be recruiting. Players certainly don't want to get lost in the shuffle if they are joining an overly deep class at a particular school where they run a good chance of being buried on a depth chart but I do not think they give as much credit to a sheet that says we are signing a bunch of 2 star athletes.
