She's human now. OU hit 5 home runs off of her in one game and she has gotten beat up lately by several teams. Washington is out of the WCWS. Only UCLA and Arizona left. Looks like the SEC is not yet ready to crown itself. The PAC 10 continues to rule. I hope UCLA wins it all.

OK, I'm going with UCLA for the title. I like the way they're hitting and I think they return to championship form.

The game last night was unreal. Got to have been one of the best WCWS games of all time.

If the center fielder would have mind her own business it would have been a diffenent story. Left fields play all the way. If you watched the game you know what I mean.......

arizona had the win, but missed a fly ball in left center...1 run lead, 2 outs bottom of 7th inning and left fielder got in the way of center fielder for fly ball...very bad mis-communication to blow the win.

actually, its the center fielders ball all the way. and if you watched the replay, the shortstop is yelling and pointing to centerfielder because she knew it was the CF ball as well. center fielder has call over EVERY play in the gaps out there (baseball and softball alike) so, left fielder should have paid attention and laid off the ball.

Well we have to agree that we were watching two different games. The left fielder was coming foward to the ball and the center fielder was going to her right. She ran across the left fielder and stumbled over the left fielders legs. The left fielder backed off after seeing her coming across. The ball fell right in front of the left fielder. The center tried to catch the ball when she stumbled. Left fielders ball in my opinion.

The point I think is that the centerfielder is always the captain of the outfield. The left & right fielders should always defer to the centerfielder. Since the centerfielder is attempting to make a play on the ball the left fielder should have deferred.

You could be right that the left fielder had a better shot at that ball and the centerfielder should have backed off but it's her call and she did wave off the left fielder who did not yield to her.

Although I'm glad UCLA won, the other point to be made is that this was Arizona's game to win. A bungled fly ball that should have been an out and a fly ball that appeared to have been caught then dropped cost them the game. Arizona should never have lost that game.
