Believe he was all-state at LB but I might be mistaken with that part.

After I made the last post, those same thoughts crept through my mind!!!!

Not that any of that really mattered to me nor was I thinking about it when he sacked Corey Leonard on the 3 yard line and gave the Cajuns a chance to beat ASU which they promptly took full advantage of.

Comparisons aside, that's the definition of a "PLAYMAKER". _
McCoy was graded out as a safety out of high school, but he was Texas defensive MVP in 3A. That is pretty impressive considering there are probably more 3A schools in Texas than all of the 3A, 2A and 1A schools in Louisiana.

  4. Default UL's Richardson spent summer with brother, Crimson Tide

Instead of working out at UL over the summer, Terrell Richardson joined his brother, University of Alabama signee Trent Richardson, training with Crimson Tide players in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Richardson returned to Lafayette a few days before the start of fall camp carrying an extra 10 pounds. The junior defensive end, now up to 270 pounds, credits his weight gain to working out with Alabama strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran, a New Orleans native and LSU graduate.

Did he get some reps in with the DL coach? That would be sweet if they taught him some pass rush moves and he became a sack machine which is what we need. You can have 300 pound DE's but if they can't stop the run or get to the QB, it does you no good.

I wonder if anyone at Alabama gave him a tee shirt......

Terrell could work with the strength coaches but not the position coaches, per NCAA rules. If you look lower in the story, you will read that he got permission from coach Bustle to work out in Tuscaloosa, largely because his brother was there. It speaks a lot to the respect he has for Terrell and knowing that he would be responsible and improve through the process.

I did read it. Part of my post was sarcastically stated. Being as physically gifted as he is, I'd like to see a huge year from him amongst the other DL. I believe he is capable of it and certainly capable of better numbers than what we've seen from him and the other DL the last few year. I think that anybody who follows this team knows that this year's success on D is going to begin at the DL. If they play well, we are likely to have a very solid D.
