UL recruiting hits the home stretch

  With the countdown to 2010 complete and the bowl season winding down, college football fans can now turn their focus to the next most important date on the calendar.

National Signing Day on Feb. 3 — exactly one month from today.

As of Saturday, UL had 11 public commitments for its 2010 recruiting class. That includes five local recruits in tailback Rob Walker (Mamou), defensive lineman/linebacker Jacob Molbert (Notre Dame), offensive lineman Andre Huval (St. Thomas More), defensive back Trevence Patt (Breaux Bridge) and kicker/safety/linebacker Hunter Stover (Notre Dame).

The Cajuns are expected to add 22 recruits for next season.
