One year we were playing Erath at Panther stadium. Before we added better visitor seating. So the visitors sat in one third of the main stands. My dad and I always sat up high near that end in the middle stands. Erath had a decent team so they were there in force, so some had spilled over by us. Anyway, we are whipping that axx by halftime. The Erath band starts playing and my dad and I are talking to some buddies of his from high school days, and an old lady from Erath turns around and shushes us. In our stands. At our stadium. :-) we still laugh about that. Take their band serious over there for sure.

I’ll go you one better—My good friend Kenny Broussard is their director, and their competition show this year is based on eating spaghetti and meatballs!! One of the band members even gets run over by a GIANT meatball, ala Wile E Coyote!! Go and check them out—WAY COOL!!!
