No doubt you are correct ... and it always makes the news.

    Why?

Because it's newsworthy within the world of sports.

well I certainly hope so - the conduct on this board would be 50 times worse if the subject of that conduct was not even newsworthy - but it does not excuse the need of the same old posters to exhibit that conduct over and over and over day in and day out with the same old tiresome points like hindsight is not always 20/20

In coaching, you are hired to be fired. True for 99 percent for people who do that for a living. Note, in football the profession contains 20 staff people for every head guy. A coaching change impacts the lives of dozens of people when families are included. Of course they all know the lifestyle when they enter that world. Wives know it too when they say I do.

This will be interesting to see which guys hit the portal at UAB, Oregon State and especially Penn State.

Haven’t paid attention what happened at Arkansas, UCLA, Oklahoma State and Virginia Tech. Seems the hammer is dropping quicker this year.

Sure the P-2 programs in contention for the CFP are about to drop more money hiring players for December/January.

Oregon State and UCLA academically operate in the quarter system.

I’m hoping PSU gets gutted like a Thanksgiving turkey. Might change the rules if a major university ends up with bare bones.

sorry, but NIL was handed down from the highest court in the land and there is little chance if any that anyone else has the power to reign that in - set it free was what the Supreme Court did …
