I alone have about 7 students from NOLA in one of my 400 level classes. Your right, NOLA kids do like the Lafayette area. I can only imagine the numbers of NOLA students that are incoming freshmen.

I have one there. They call it the "New LSU".

    Poll 2019 Enrollment

Just an FYI, total enrollment is up to 19,403. Led by a large increase in the graduate school.

Am I too much of a nerd when I saw LED, and thought, what does Light Emitting Diodes have to do with enrollment. Yes, I am EE, class of 88.

I fixed it. I thought the same when I saw it. My son 3406 is 2010 EE.

I guess we could say that you muffed, saw the LED which then led you to a recovery.

Growth stagnated in the 90s. Then down hill since the turn of the century. All coinciding with legislature funding cuts.

Our be population has stagnated. Number of HS students has decreased. As stated the public doesn’t want to fund higher education at a consistent level so legislature has hit HE and health services as the two main non-dedicated $$ to cut. Jindal hammered HE and health during his 8 years.
