Troy has over 20000 students. They count US military taking all types of courses. Same for Maryland. I don’t look at total I look at growth of UG and Graduate school. Especially in Engr.
The most distressing number sit at UL. It’s at UNO. Another significant drop. Bad for the metro NO area and the state. We’ll see how LSU helps them. First sign is that it appears their name will go back to LSUNO. Know your place I guess.
Everyone with a pulse outside of UNO realizes LSU isn’t doing this by choice. Either they got pressure or, more likely, promised money for a new arena.

Green flight continues in NOLA. Rebranding won’t change a thing. All this did was prove politicians do not have the guts to combine every public institution of higher learning in NOLA into one.

UT Austin has 55k students 42k undergrad and 9.9k graduate students.

LSU 34.5k undergrad and 7.5k graduate students.

So yes we inflate our numbers to look bigger than we are. It’s sad, that we find ourselves doing that. But hey we have 38% of our student population consisting of “under represented” peoples. Whatever the F that means.
Whats the degree/non degree breakdown at ut and lswho

Our problem was fiscal irresponsibility and neglect of qualified students in favor of under represented students.

If you don’t believe that, then 2 people at this university would still be employed.

I just get tired of the peacocking inflated numbers. We have consistently lost undergrad population for 7-10 years. During that time we should have been growing undergraduates to the 20k mark. Growing post graduate degree seeking students to 5k. Instead we have done the opposite.

T-Joe did advance this university, but he missed out on a ridiculous amount of opportunities to improve UL. Mainly because he has zero business acumen and is purely an academic politician.

Hopefully the new university president will be similar to the UH president and strives for greatness here. Making UL the premier university to attend in Louisiana.

How can you grow at such a rate while ensuring standards stay high/keep increasing. I see the test scores, seems this higher amount of high achieving scholars may not exist
