Thread: Done with Des!

I’m sure I’m not the only one that saw this, need to roll DB out more like CBN did with LL. There were times Saturday you could clearly see DB was pretty much throwing and praying, the D line obstructing his view.

I am a LONG time Des fan.
Starting two seasons ago, I began doubting his abilities (not his character ). Last year we won 10 IN SPITE OF BAD COACHING. This year (don't forget this is Des's FOURTH year of "growing into the job") we will not break 500. (I love this team and hope I am wrong)..

    It's like this.

After the long build from Hud to Napier, we reached amazing heights, but it appears NIL/Portal have ended that for good. We have entered into a transition period while college football figures it out.

We won't revert back to Baldwin, but we will go through a few years of mediocre FBS football, just like the Bustle years. I hope Des can figure stuff out and still be here when we're ready to make another push.

I think every non-power conference school is in this same predicament. Everyone is going to have to learn how to not only survive, but thrive in this NIL/transfer portal world of college sports.

Otherwise the talent graveyard will grow exponentially.

Think of the reqruited running backs who went to Missouri but will be allowed to die on the vine.

I’m not sure the big money schools really want to change anything. Current NIL and Portal status benefits them greatly. All they have to do is go shopping for the best players at schools like ours.

Great explanation of our circumstances in the first six minutes of commentary.

The OSU/Gundy situation is almost an identical mirror of the UL/CMD situation in a three year vacuum.

-"...you can get away with resisting the portal for one or two years, but it will show in year three."
