#DefundTheHill
At the big MLB game at NASCAR track, that was rained out anyway, apparently ran out of concessions before the official first pitch time..... company called Aramak. Seems nascar lets fans bring their own snack in, but MLB said no.
Every kickoff there are about 1500 to 2000 folks wandering around. Waiting on some damn hot pretzel, chasing kids on some damn hill and of course, a large amount outside finishing up some beer pong or whatever the hell kids these days do. Maybe they're out there singing kum by yah, who cares, there not filling seats at kickoff when every soul is watching inside the stadium and on the plus at home (and every bar in Acadiana) @ Kickoff.
This is #1 issue. Filling seats. Hasn't always been but IS our current state. New Swamp, get into your seat and lets kick this off with everyone in their seats. I believe this could be done. Take what we already have - people who bought tickets, are in Cajun Field and are Cajuns fans. Before the hopes and dreams of building a larger fan base in a season or two, these folks are IN the Swamp.
You're describing every sports venue in the world. Seats are always being filled as the game starts, except at places where they put an ounce of thought and planning into pre-game theatrics.
Give people a reason to be in their seats and you'll have more in them. Watching the kickoff against Rice ain't it
