Funny, when I was a kid, there was NOTHING I looked forward to more than sitting in my seat and watching college football for 3 hours. A close second was getting my hands on that week's program, seeing who or what was on the cover, reading about this weeks opponent.
Man, I miss that! I feel sad that kids these days miss out on that feeling.
Funny how times change, right?
This generation does wants to be part of things to be part of something, they just connect differently. They’re all about experiences, belonging, and sharing moments. Maybe Covid had something to do with it maybe it’s social media? They might not flip through a printed program, but they’ll post a selfie in front of the team mural, cheer with their friends in a fan zone, and follow players on TikTok like they’re superheroes.
They crave community, not just content., and if we build spaces that let them run, explore, and feel like they’re in the story not just watching we’ll hook them for life.
So yeah, it’s not the same. But it’s not worse.
I love the fact he wants to be apart of so much stuff! I thought it was him it’s everyone of his classmates!
