Nothing spectacular but no cupcakes. It’s a very solid and manageable out of conference schedule for a first year head coach. Expect next years schedule to include more “names”.

Tulane plus:

A pair of NCAA Tournament teams from last season visit the Cajundome in December. UNC Wilmington, defending CAA Champion, comes to the Cajundome on December 6. The Seahawks have been a consistent winner over the last four seasons, with a combined 99 wins. Joining them is Norfolk State, which has won 111 games over the last five seasons and made three NCAA Tournament appearances, who comes to town on December 28.

Home opener Friday night then Texas State at Cajun Field the next day. That shall be fun.

It’s the best schedule in 15+ years. If we can luck out and have maybe 3-4 top heavy teams in the Belt this year, this could be a fun season.
