How many people are tailgating inside of the fences? Hell we don’t have enough RCAF members to fill the paved lots. So we have swaths of empty space around Cajun Field on game day.

Everything isn’t always about generating money. That’s what this administration fails to grasp. We absolutely cannot compete with any P4 program financially. It’s a fricken pipe dream to think we can.

So how do you set yourself apart? You create the very best gameday atmosphere that exists outside of the P4. You can’t get there by price gouging the blue collar base that makes up Cajun Nation.

The charge is the $20/game to park inside the fence. The free tailgating is to get people inside the fences. It gives the appearance that this is the place to be on Saturdays in Lafayette.

Your line of thought about “free stuff” is exactly what’s wrong with this athletic program. They aren’t reserved tailgating, it’s first come first serve parking. Aka $20/game parking fee with tailgating included.

Nothing is free, just doesn’t need the fake premium pricing we are charging.

Jeez bud chill. I was just thinking like $50 for a tailgate spot. I know a good bit of people would be willing to pay that. Holy overreaction.

First come first serve would generate a demand for said space IMO

How much were texas a&m RVs charged in 1996 and why were they allowed in days early?

‘96 our motorhome was sold. But prior to that when we first came out there late 80s to early 90’s, university brass came by and thanked us for coming out. Parked in the baseball parking lot back then. Was 3 RVs, none of us ran in each other’s social circle. Was very popular with fans, random folks wanted our air conditioned bathroom 😂😂😂

I appreciate you guys who still do that. It’s work.

Losing $2 ____ beer sucks, but they know that people who buy beer at $2 are still going to pay $8. The problem is that might be the ONLY product where that applies. If you raise food prices 300%, people will say no. If you raise tailgate prices 300%, people will say no. If you raise everything 300%, there won't be any people left.
Good point, but Lourdes is not the best collaborator in that regard, as they and other hospitals have raised prices way more than 300pct and have seen an increase in customers

He just told you he didn't have a RV at that time, so he wouldn't know the price.
