Thread: Breaking News: Dr. Savoie Retiring

  1. Default Re: Breaking News: Dr. Savoie Retiring

It is concerning for the next generation the knowledge of how all but two (then white) universities were LSU in the LSU system, Huey Long, the Coke tax, the death penalty for basically integrating sports teams (and the blackballing until death of Shipley by the LSWHOF), the name fight, highjacking the IT department and on and on will be forgotten.

If this happened to any other ULS member, only then they’d be mad. They don’t get it.

If it wasn't for TSAB, we'd have won it all at least 5 times in football and 10-12 in baseball

    Im sure you agree
When did the SEC beg to add us?

I can't find it but when Louisiana reached R1, who was it that posted? 'Oh no, we're going to get the death penalty!'

Need to hire someone that knows UL inside and out but not a bubba.

IMO, a concern is our “local governor” hires a TSAB pick and dismantles what is done. Between leaving the whole freaking
UL system in the dust research wise and TSAB resting on their state protection and MeToU’s kissing the ring, it has a 1984 feel in the air.

I’ve followed the failings of UNO and have seen a few suggestive negative remarks directed at UL. How and why, no clue. But if one looks at the enrollment growth at SLU and UNO’s decline, doesn’t take a genius to figure that out.

Fun, I actually appreciate your passion. My beef with MH, as related to RP, is what seems to be a total abandonment of the once highly touted “front porch” of the University of Louisiana.
BAck to Dr. Savoie moving on. He is over 71 years old and has a lady in his life again. Perhaps his decision to retire is simply wanting to enjoy life with her without the stress of his role.

Envy and jealously. lsu feels threatened because of our R1 status and the others don't like UL advancing and separating from them all the while they are stuck in an academic ditch.
