Nation, his work here especially academics is not a blank slate. Under his tenure you can look at the research dollars that have grown and the university's rankings. I realize his political decisions have cost him, I'm not in agreement with him in those areas. But I can acknowledge the work he has done otherwise and his commitments to athletics was never accomplished by his predecessor. I would rather keep it respectful here and focus on the next hire. I think we can all agree it may be the most important hire in the last 50 plus years at this university.
