So what would be better for our program? Especially if we would’ve negotiated a more equitable share?

Hey, we saw Journey and the Doobie Brothers in Houston a few years ago. It was awesome. The music sounded good, the beer was just as cold. You just gotta focus on the members you remember that are still there.

    It's all good man.

Yep, because we would be in a position to negotiate what exactly? A deal that cost almost $10M in losses up front and have to hide it from the state legislature and major supporters? I posted the link so you guys can see exactly what it is going down. You can't negotiate what they don't have to offer. It's borderline fiscally irresponsible and they are trying to hide it. But hey, our fans want deals cut and don't want to pay for premium seating and parking.

Sorry brother, but we don't have the money, and the UL-System would never let this fly today. Maggard is doing what is reasonable and our President is not about to try anything now that will push him out the door before Fiscal 2026.

This is neither here nor there in the current situation, but if Louisiana had gone Indi when they had a chance they could have made $8 million more per year, every year, and created a slush fund to join a new conference with no buyout needed.

Sitting put is a guaranteed way to stay poor.

Under the current situation Louisiana will have no choice but to go in even more dept to eventually prosper.

    No doubt about that.

    However, "nothing ventured nothing gained."

Not even entertaining the thought (when they could have) makes that quote exponentially true.

Also saw the PAC and MWC are going to court over the $150 million the departing schools owe the MWC.

Why is the MWC going after the PAC when the pre-PAC agreements were with individual schools?

We don’t have money because as a university we have gone backwards in just as many aspects that we are succeeding.

    1. We need more on campus students. To the tune of 20k undergraduate on campus students.

    2. We have overpriced our product. Near zero marquee matchups.

    3. We have drastically under delivered on gameday service.

    4. Alienated the bandwagon and casual Cajuns fan, while catering to corporate money.

Everyone knows we need more revenue streams and that comes with a cost. It seems it’s easier for this university to chase big fish and not worry about the average fan.

The on the field product is the best it’s ever been and yet our base continues to shrink. Why is that?
