Showing someone a pocket knife and pulling a knife on someone could be 2 wildly different things and apparently the assistant coach in question had a reputation of bullying high school kids. Not saying the kid was right but we all know the media can have a way of framing things. He went to an SEC school with no incidents and was one of the highest rated kids in the country coming out of his junior year.

Good point....and how could the person not report if knowing it was even possessed. Even if you hear someone has something like that you have to have it checked out

He only pitched in one game all season at Oklahoma and it was during the early part of season. Did he get hurt or have something happen that did not allow him to pitch more than one game?

Never said I knew him. Nobody ever gets in trouble for just showing someone a knife. I have no idea what provoked the situation.

If you are not allowed to have it, of course you be in trouble for "just" having it on school grounds

Kids absolutely get expelled for having a knife on campus, if that’s where this happened

P.s. how does someone who is expelled qualify academically for admittance to a major university

Even if you are expelled you still have to be offered to be educated whether that’s at an off campus alternative education site or at home. He would have completed his courses online.

It easily can. We have homeschooled my daughter since the 3rd grade she is leaving for college next month to get a degree in bio medical and bio physical sciences and a minor in psychology. I would put her education up against any public or private high school in Louisiana. And she got a full ride to do it.

Home school and alternative school dont seem nearly the same...id vote for home school every time
