So 71 was talking about music that is played between the 3rd and 4th to hype up the crowd. His examples was Florida and App State. It got me thinking about other iconic songs that are played.

We all know VT's Enter Sandman and WVU's Country Roads. Some might even know Michigan's Mr. Brightside chant. Yes they are classic songs and everyone plays it but those schools have made them their school's anthem organically.

Now, some of you guys have given your suggestions and some have been better than others. I get it, most of our favorite songs are from an era when we were in our prime. However I am not seeing the two thing that are most important.

First, its got to be a song that ties into our school or community. It doesn't need to be a perfect match but something we can all attach to. Second, it's got to be something that gets everyone going. Not just you guys that take 10 minutes to pee then are to tired to stand for game. Not just for the snot nosed kids on the hill that are on a sugar high. Everyone. Something simple that can be repeated and all can follow along.

So, imagine this. Third quarter ends. Pa guy comes on to fill time. All announce are made. Heavy guitar riff and lights go out. a few second of silence as people turn on their phone's lights. Melodic drum beat starts as soft red lights come on. Both start low and slowly intensify. Soft whisper "Despite all my Rage, I am still a rat in a Cage... Despite all my Rage, I am still a rat in a Cage"...

So something like this but edited to go along with light show

    That's already played...one line She's a raging Cajun..
That's all that song has in relation to this fan base...bringing something repeated over and over, like born on the bayou.
I have no idea what the other selections noted are....I'm old school like that...
