It has to be part of the deal, in writing, with penalties for violations.

Just like ulm, La Tech should be forced to comply with a fellow conference members branding if they are allowed in. We are Louisiana!

At the end of the day, Louisiana Tech is just one program they’re not the conference. Both the Sun Belt and ULM already recognize us properly. But if Tech insists on using ‘ULALA’ in their games publications and on the scoreboard in Ruston its not a big deal. The conference and ULM has already agreed.

ULM, by contrast, usually just use ‘Cajuns’ or ‘UL-L. Its on there tickets, schedule, scoreboard etc. they will never show their fans they caved.

To me just part of the Rivalry!

If you ever been to a ULM vs UL game i have never seen ULM ever put Louisiana on any publications regarding us. I dont expect LATech to do the same.

But it doesn’t stop there. We have to pack the stands, build game-day energy, and create a fan experience that shows we belong on a bigger stage. Attendance matters—every person, every game. That’s how we build a reputation and draw the spotlight.

Branding is huge. We need to make ‘Louisiana’ a name that resonates across the country. That means media presence, community support, strong visuals, and a unified voice. The more recognition we get, the harder we are to ignore.

Money talks. We need to generate revenue—through ticket sales, donations, partnerships, merchandising, media rights—every stream we can tap. Because conferences don’t just want winners, they want programs that move the needle financially.

And the administration? They’ve got to see realignment as a mission, not just a possibility. That means networking, lobbying, investing in facilities, and putting us in every conversation that matters. We’ve got to be ready when the door opens—and prove we belong when it does.
Ok, first post by you I can applaud. Still a NO on tech.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions.

I got mine but mine will never happen!! What i honestly think we should add is Jackson State! Here is why i am ready for the people on this board to just crucify me!

-Be first HBCU school to move up

-Would triple the support it has already has with them moving to a Division I-A conference.

-Sunbelt would get alot of publicity with it being a HBCU.

-Recruiting for JSU would go through the roof.

    - Averaged 42,000+ fans per home game in 2022 still averaging 30k plus for home games

—#1 in FCS, outdrawing many FBS programs.

    - Consistently ranks among the top in all of Division I for attendance.

    - Signed Travis Hunter, the No. 1 overall recruit in 2022—historic for an FCS program.

    - Attracted multiple Power Five transfers and four- to five-star recruits.

    - Located in a recruiting hotbed Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Georgia—ideal for building a top-tier Sun Belt roster.

    - Based in Jackson, Mississippi, the state’s capital and largest city.

    - Metro population of 600,000, offering a sizable media market and regional visibility.

    - Strategically located near existing Sun Belt schools like Southern Miss, South Alabama, and Louisiana.

    - Plays at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium (capacity: 60,000+), larger than most Sun Belt venues.

    - Stadium and infrastructure already capable of supporting FBS-level operations with modest upgrades.

    - High attendance strong ticket revenue and local economic impact.

    - National brand recognition supports sponsorships, merchandise sales, and media interest.

    - FBS membership would unlock access to bowl revenue, TV contracts, and NIL opportunities.

    - It would bring in another school from Mississippi, with them owning the Jackson, Mississippi market.
