Want to lose money from long time donors like me? Invite Tech.
I'm with you, CHarlie. Just Say NO to Tech. NEVER. EVER. And not another dime from me, either.

We are Louisiana thats easy! Proving it thats the hard part!! They havent showed me once they arw willing to do the hard things to really move the needle!

You can disagree with me, sure. But refusing to let Tech in now is doing the exact same thing to them that they once did with to everyone else. So what are we really saying? That we’re just gonna play the same petty games? Hold on to every slight, every grudge, and call it strategy?

That’s not leadership. That’s just immature and petty.

We can talk all day about who wronged who—but at the end of the day, it’s not about the past. It’s about building a better future. One rooted in strength, not spite.

We can talk about recruiting—that’s a valid concern, no doubt. But let’s be honest: do you really think that’s what’s going to move the needle in the end?

In this era, fan engagement, rivalries, packed stadiums, and relevance matter just as much—if not more—than winning a few extra recruits. We’re not out-recruiting the SEC. We’re not outspending the Big Ten. So let’s stop pretending like that one argument is a deal-breaker.

We’ve got to start looking at the bigger picture. And if we don’t, we’re the ones getting left behind.

Dude, if you think we need, much less want, Tech then just say you've given up. Its not about a grudge. You can still schedule games against them without them being in your conference. Should we add McNeese too while we're at it? Some of yalls love for Tech is fkn weird, man. The part about, "its not about the past, its about building a better future." LoL!!! Really, we need Tech for a better future? $#!+ is hilarious.

Look, nobody’s "giving up"—this is about being strategic, not sentimental. The point isn’t whether we like Tech. It’s whether adding them makes the conference stronger financially, regionally, and competitively. And the answer? It does.

We can schedule them out of conference all day, sure. But that doesn’t bring stakes. That doesn’t bring packed stadiums or title races. A Tech vs. UL or ULM game that determines the Sun Belt West? Now that moves the needle.

And comparing Tech to McNeese? Come on. You know better. Tech brings more history, more resources, and a bigger brand. You don’t have to love them to see the value in the rivalry, the gate revenue, and the attention it brings.

This isn’t about the past. It’s about using everything we’ve got—including the tension—to build something that lasts.

We’re not trying to be nostalgic—we’re trying to stay relevant.

Let me be clear I don’t love Tech. Not even close. I still remember being in the band when one of their fans threw a Coke at one of our players. That player nearly climbed into the stands to handle it himself until his teammates held him back and security escorted the fan out.

And I’ll never forget their band blasting “It’s Hard to Be Humble” like they are better.

There’s no love here. What I want is a real rivalry. Not the friendly kind a true hate-hate rivalry. The kind that fills stadiums, sparks emotion, and matters

Tech pretty much has that with the entire Sunbelt specially with ULM, and Ark St. somewhat Southern Miss.
